FACETS is whimsical dining which combines wheel-thrown and slip-cast pieces. The mugs and bowls focus on geometric forms, contrasting straight rigid lines on the exterior with spherical shapes on the interior to create work that portrays the concrete architecture that has become more prominent in Vancouver. The plates are an homage to the uneven coastline and mountain range on the West Coast. Together, the set captures Vancouver's concrete architecture with the wild landscapes of its geography.
